If you’re a diesel vehicle owner – welcome to our new Diesel Drivers section where you will find everything you need to know about diesel vehicles. From detailed specs on all of the diesel vehicles currently available in the U.S. (and a look at those that are anticipated in the next few years!), information on the total cost of ownership of a diesel vehicle (diesel vehicles saved owners as much as $2,000 to $6,000 in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) during a three to five year period when compared to similar gasoline vehicles) and where you can find diesel fuel near you.
If you’re an elected official, mayor or councilman or staff – our new Policy section highlights diesel’s importance to the three E’s – energy, environment and economy with an expanded section on renewable diesel and biofuels and explores diesel’s role in helping to meeting clean air goals and reducing black carbon emissions. It also includes a section for our weekly Policy Insider articles as well as insights into all the current policy issues in the news that are affecting diesel. If you are outside of the U.S. - the International section of site focuses on diesel news in key countries around the world and includes translated versions of DTF’s press releases as we work to increase international awareness of the advancements in diesel fuel and technology. Learn how the introduction of cleaner diesel fuels in developing nations can improve to air quality. Ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel (less than 15 parts per million sulfur) can have an immediate effect, reducing vehicle particulate emissions by about 10 percent from all diesel vehicles and equipment that use it; both old and new.
