The Wall Street Journal recently published a letter to the editor from the California Advanced Biofuels Alliance on the benefits of the use of biofuels in California.
"CARB data indicate that biodiesel provided over 41% of California’s total reduction of 47.1 million metric tons in climate-changing gases from fuel use, more than any other fuel, and it has reduced emissions of toxic pollutants such as those that cause smog and make it difficult for many Americans to breathe. That’s why biodiesel is featured as an American Lung Association Clean Air Choice. Reducing the pollutants from smog and dangerous cancer-causing particulate matter in fossil fuels has never been more important."
